ARTivist

Aundrae Williams is an artivist, husband, and teacher pursuing educational leadership. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and is a former pro Basketball player with a short career in Beijing, China. Mr. Williams believes art has the power to heal. An artivist is an art activist who creates art to fight for social justice initiatives like black lives matter, women’s rights, global poverty, and the school to prison pipeline to name a few. Mr. Williams has his master’s degree in the art of teaching from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, and principal certification from Point Park University, Pittsburgh. Mr. Williams has had some exposure through Instagram creating viral pieces and working with influencers. He has had a handful of art shows in St. Louis and Pittsburgh and switched over to youtube after gaining a humble following of 13k followers. As a teacher who has taught K- 12 Mr. Williams’s goal as an art teacher is to inspire a generation of young people to pursue their dreams and to inform others of injustices that happen around the world through art making so that we can heal and take steps towards a positive change.
